CARPET FILTRATION LINESLet's Fix Those Ugly Black Lines Around The Baseboards & Under Doorways
Take Care Of Carpet Filtration Lines
Many people start experiencing dark lines in their carpet next to or near baseboards, furniture, and doors. This is called filtration soiling. It happens when air attempts to pass through carpet while attempting to get through the crack between the carpet and the baseboard or under a closed door. This occurs over a significant period of time and is not noticed until a buildup has occurred.
What can you do to fix this? This type of soiling is difficult to remove because the soil particles are so fine that they penetrate deep into the carpet fibers, sometimes into the backing of the carpet. Depending on the severity, it can’t always be removed. With special products, time and effort, reasonable results can be achieved.
